Carly Anderson, MCC, Mentor Coach and Coach Educator MCS (MCC, PCC, ACC)

I’m an ICF Master Certified Coach with 28 years of experience and I’m pretty sure the only mentor coach in the world who can say that more than 235 coaches have passed the MCC credential under my guidance. I’ve listened to and reviewed over 2,000 coaching session recordings as a Mentor Coach and ICF Portfolio Assessor. I’ve been awarded the Mentor Coach Specialization for ACC, PCC and MCC.
I believe the coaches who reach mastery aren’t the ones who know the most. They’re the ones who are willing to examine their presence, to listen at a deeper level than they thought possible, to master their ability to craft customized questions, and to perceive what needs to be shared that less masterful coaches miss. They are willing to do the work of self-mastery: to become even more present and more agile in their responsiveness to their client. They embody a partnering mindset with their ability to effortlessly share the lead with their client throughout a coaching session.
My role is to collaborate and empower each coach to understand their specific coaching strengths and be precise about what needs to be developed – delivered through a direct approach with kindness. By the time we’re done, my aim is to ensure every coach I mentor is confident in their understanding of where they are with their development.
So far, more than 800 coaches for ACC / renewal, PCC and MCC credential preparation have experienced this work directly with me through a combination of group and individual mentoring sessions. Because of my depth and breadth of mentor coaching experience, I’ve created this program for every coach who genuinely wants to grow as a coach and especially as a mentor coach. I believe every coach can benefit by having access to hearing coaching be debriefed in a mentoring session and hearing what mentor coach mastery sounds like in practice.
I’m passionate (perhaps slightly obsessed) with observing high performance athletes in action, both individual sports such as Tennis, and team sports such as American Football (NFL). I mourn the day after the Super Bowl every year because it’s over 6 months before the season begins again. 😊
Here I am as a teenager very seriously about hitting the tennis ball.
Since being a teenager, sport has always been where I go to watch mastery happen in real time: the preparation, the pressure, the emotional responses and what separates the good from the truly great. It’s the same thing I’ve spent 28 years studying in coaching. Many days you’ll find me at a Bikram hot yoga studio sweating out the toxins of life on the yoga mat. Bikram yoga has been a key foundation of my wellbeing and presence development since 2008.
